Hello,
Thank you for reading my blog. It has been a while since we got together, and a lot has happened. I hope you have weathered IAN and are well into the spiritual and physical recovery process. The outpouring of help and assistance has genuinely demonstrated that good and compassionate souls still abound.
Better writers than I have recounted the stories. They are heart-warming and inspirational. Individuals and organizations have reached out to those in need. In fact, they have more than reached out; they have gone to the site of the need, especially for the individual. At New Hope, we have experienced individuals in their trucks with tools and International Faith-based Ministries all reaching out and offering to help.
God is good.
Today I was reminded in my devotional readings that we must draw near to God during these times. We must not forget the spiritual as we seek to resolve the physical.
In times like these, we discover again that God’s succor is complete. God touches the Body and the Spirit of each of us as we draw near. Yes, God offers creature comforts, but even more, He offers us his Spiritual Comfort. He pours out His salvation, His love, and His strength.
I could go on, but that might be preaching. 😊 As you recover from Hurricane IAN your first stop should be the Throne of Grace.
Shalom
Bob
